Flying-Related Concerns among Airline Customers in Finland and Sweden during COVID-19

COVID-19 hit the global economy hard in early 2020, and airline industry was among the biggest commercial victims. Governments closed borders, the virus scared off travelers and the aircraft stayed on the ground to a large extent. The forecasted record year turned out to be the worst in the history of aviation. This study focused on the concerns of airline customers and analyzed the differences between the customer behavior in two focus markets, Finland and Sweden. The article is based on a questionnaire and the answers of 2004 airline customers. This essay examines the relationship existing between informal law and state laws in the four countries of the Horn of Africa from an historical and comparative perspective. Such relation is considered from the time when the four countries became independent, however reference is also made from time to time to the colonial background when necessary to justify a particular situation. The analysis casts also an eye to the relation existing between religious laws and state laws, as religious laws represent an essential component in the interaction between state laws and the other normative orders present in these four countries. The ‘grave of the Court Pit’, A rediscovered Bronze Age tomb from Carchemish

This paper examines the British Museum unpublished records related to an Early Bronze (EB) Age pithos burial uncovered a century ago in the Inner Town at Carchemish. The grave, cursorily cited and variously dated (Chalcolithic, EB or even LBA) in the final reports, was described in some detail by Hogarth and Thompson; a precise dating is, however, possible today thanks to the information of paramount importance given by T. E. Lawrence who identified and took a picture of the associated finds, which was recently rediscovered in the Carchemish Archives. Sull’esecuzione delle sentenze tributarie nei confronti dell’Agenzia delle dogane

Article 69 of Legislative Decree 546/92, in the current version, incorporates the principle of immediate enforceability of all judicial tax decisions, including those favorable to taxpayers. However, the Customs Agency, following a wrong interpretation of article 68, paragraph 3 bis, of Legislative Decree 546/92 and of the European regulations referred to therein, considers the above mentioned principle unapplicable with regards to non-definitive decisions concerning the European Union's own resources. A systematic interpretation of the rules leads to the conclusion that even these decisions are immediately enforceable.
